Jaisalmer 3 Days Tour - Get Engross in the Desert City

Rajasthan, the royal state of India is gaining popularity in India Tourism because of its incredible cultural heritage charm and desert. The royal state is bestowed with an elongated stretch of desert and Jaisalmer is the most popular desert city of Rajasthan. Well known as the Golden City of Rajasthan, Jaisalmer is erected in the center of the Thar Desert. The city was named after Maharawal Jaisal Singh, a Rajput King who was the founder of the city. The word Jaisalmer states “the Hill Fort of Jaisal. Jaisalmer has got it’s named as the Golden City because of its yellow sandstone structures that give golden-yellow tinge to the city.

A well-planned trip to Jaisalmer with my friends was the only thing that excites me. We were hoping for a memorable and enjoyable trip in the desert as the crazy time spent with friends while enjoying the moments in the desert. Our three days in Jaisalmer was full of exciting activities, fun, and laughter. Here is how we planned our 3 days in Jaislamer:

Day 1: Arrival in Jaisalmer
It was in the evening when we traveled from Delhi to Jaisalmer by train, in the next morning we crossed Jodhpur well known as the Blue City of Rajasthan and finally, we reached in Jaisalmer in the afternoon. Since we have made all our bookings in advance at the best prices, we check-in to the hotel to get relax. Afterward, we head towards the sightseeing wherein we visit Amar Sagar Jain Temple, followed by Kuldhara Village and then return back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

Day 2: Jaisalmer Sightseeing and Desert Safari
For the day we had our early morning breakfast at the hotel and then we were left for Jaisalmer sightseeing. We started our venture from Jaisalmer Fort which is the most beautiful and iconic castle of a bygone era that is the only lively forts in the world. We were so enticed with the stunning interior of this fortress. Further continuing to the other major attractions of Jaisalmer, we had visited the grand havelis of the city namely Salim Singh Ki Haveli, Patwon ki Haveli, and Nathmalji ki Haveli. These havelis are beautifully designed and the great work of artisans is well displayed in the architecture.

Afterward, we had enjoyed a boat ride at Gadisar Lake and then visited golden sand dunes at the point from where our desert safari was going to start. We were so excited to go on a desert safari while enjoying a bumpy camel ride in the sand dunes. In the evening after going so far in the desert during sunset we decided to take a break and enjoy the scenic views of the sunset. We capture a lot of photographs with camels and the stunning backdrop of sunset and then we went back to our camping site. We enjoy the best time near the bonfire in a serene silence where only our waves of laughter can be heard. Our overnight was in the desert under the canopy of stars with all the basic arrangements of camping, water, and dinner.

Day 3: Back to Pavilion
This was our last day in the desert city when we were so happy to get a bag full of memories with us to our home. We had our breakfast and then return back to the hotel. There we proceed to checkout from hotel and then head towards the railway station to board a train for onward destination.

This was all about our Jaisalmer 3 days Tour and we were so happy to go back home after enjoying wonderful 3 days in the city. It was a sweet, memorable, and stress-free holidays for me in Jaisalmer. If you are someone who is looking for a perfect destination to go with friends for enjoyment, then I would strongly recommend choosing Jaisalmer as the best destination for you.
