A FUN FULFILLED TRIP WITH JAISALMER

A FUN FULFILLED TRIP WITH JAISALMER

Being an adventurous person I travelled to many tourist places, among them I find Jaisalmer is one of the best tourist attractions. The city has so much to offer for tourism in the Thar desert. The city has so many places to visit and enjoy so a One-day trip is not enough to visit the main tourist spots in Jaisalmer. The Jaisalmer city is also called the “golden city”. This name has been registered in the minds of local and tourist people due to the yellow sandstone and sand in and around the city.

I have reached Jaisalmer through train and from there I took a private cab with the air-conditioned facility on my demand. The cab service was comfortable. They pick me from the railway station and drop me at Jaisalmer tourist place. During traveling in a cab he instructed me about the city of Jaisalmer and tourist spots.

PLACES I CHERISHED THE MOST:
KHURI SAND DUNES

The Khuri Sand Dunes are situated at a distance of 40 Km to the southwest of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Tt looked most acknowledged and pristine beauty in the middle of the vast Thar desert. There are numerous sand dunes in the desert which offers a way for various adventurous activities. I enjoyed spending some alone free time in the desert. It is one of the best Jaisalmer safaris in Thar desert. I reached the dunes in the early morning and witnessed the amazing sun. it is truly magical looking at the rays of sunshine spell over the desert lands.

Being an adventurous person I took a camel ride, it is wonderful to sit at the back of the camel and enjoy the views of sand for miles together. Camel safari in Jaisalmer is one of the best tourist attractions. I enjoyed staying at the desert camp in Jaisalmer, it is one of the most experiences in a lifetime. It is an alternative for Sam sand dunes in Jaisalmer. The desert safari looks so calm and less crowded.

JEEP SAFARI AT DESSERT:
Jeep safari in Jaisalmer is another adventurous way to cruise through the deserts and witness the beauty of Jaisalmer. The Jaisalmer jeep safari is not just for adventure purposes but also useful for traveling around the wildlife, dunes places, and deserts in Jaisalmer and glare at the insights of a village or a town. The jeep safari is also available for a ride from Jaisalmer to Sam sand dunes. It is for those who want to reach on spot soon.

The jeep safari gives me a thrilling experience and it goes up to the top of the dunes and rolls down to the sands at a very high speed. There will not be any worry during the ride with jeep because of the trained professionals sitting behind the well. The ride was safe and thrilling.

SALIM SINGH KI HAVELI
Salim Singh Ki Haveli is one of the most beautiful edifices situated in the heart of Jaisalmer city. It happens to be one of the main tourist attractions in the city. I was astonished by the beauty of the architecture. This Haveli is mainly known for its unique architectural design, in which its roof has been constructed in the form of a peacock, complemented by an exquisite pavilion. The gateways of this Haveli are guarded by Jaisalmer Tuskers, which are made out of sand and stone and provides an appearance very close to living ones.

Its structure has 38 balconies, all with their unique designs and walls covered with imperial paintings of the Mughal style. The front facet of the Haveli resembles a ship stern due to which it is also referred to as Jahaz Mahal. Among other architectural designs in Jaisalmer, it is slightly different from those architectures. This Haveli has its own artistry designs.

SHOPPING BAZAAR
After waking up from Jaisalmer desert camp. I decided to do shopping for almost a day. Being a shopping freak, I purchased a lot of things. There are wholesale and retail markets available in Jaisalmer. They are selling everything from dupattas, shawls, wooden items, leather stuff, etc. I went to a place called Seema Gram, where they selling clothing which is made of traditional hand-woven material Khadi. It looked beautiful and it suits for bright and colourful dresses.

Then I went to pansari bazaar. This is one of the oldest markets in the city of Jaisalmer.  consider a walk down this market as a walk down the history lane. It is enriched with tradition and culture. Also known as Villager’s market. They sell knick-knacks, textiles and small souvenirs, and cute puppets, and who knows, back at home you might be able to pull off a puppet show of your own. My bags were filled with a lot of items which I bought in a bazaar.
