Jaisalmer is not just about the famous Thar desert, it also got a beautiful fort and massive walls with golden rays of sunshine in and around the city of Jaisalmer. The enchanting architecture of Jaisalmer will transport you back in time and will give you sense of being in the tale world with the stories of camels, desert etc.

Jaisalmer city is filled with lot of tourist attractions. I reached there by train and thereby took a cab service to reach the spot. There is various Jaisalmer tour package, I choose basic plan according to the budget of mine and enjoyed the journey in the city of Jaisalmer.

PLACES TO VISIT IN JAISALMER:
SAM SAND DUNES:
My experience in Sam sand dunes of Jaisalmer is one of the most enchanting experience and it locked in my memories forever. Jaisalmer sand dunes safari is best in the Thar desert. Being an adventurous person I enjoyed riding camel and jeep safari in Jaisalmer and also enjoyed rolling on the dunes, jumping and climbing up each other madly, playing with sands and more. Sam sand dunes is not just about safari things, there are other exciting activities are also there in the city.

I planned a day time activity and night time activity accordingly. I pretty much sure about not missing the sunrise and sunset of Sam sand dunes of Jaisalmer. During day time, I visited fort, havelis, shopping and lake. During night time, I booked accommodation in tent for night camping, enjoyed delicious rajasthani foods, sitting on the sand dunes and let my soul with peace by looking at the dazzling shining stars.

JAISALMER FORT:
I woke up with sunrise and prepared myself to get ready and visit Jaisalmer fort. The jeep safari in the Jaisalmer is the fastest way to reach on the destination. After reached the place, I paid entry fees at the entrance of the fort. The fort has a massive entrance gate; it may be around four in numbers. There is a city inside the fort, it has everything you need. Start from rooms, hotels, shopping, temples etc. The fort glitters with golden colour stones. The fort displays a meaningful and inspirational paintings.

There are lot of interesting things located inside the fort. The folk artist sat at the entrance of the gate and play his cultured music and mesmerized at the entry of the fort. There are Jain temples inside the fort, which has different craftworks with different story. The ceiling in the fort was mind-blowing and it was full of meanings and conceptual designs.

KULDHARA VILLAGE:
Kuldhara village is said to be an abandoned village. I wished to experience that thrilling place so I visited that village. Jaisalmer safari is the best way to reach the spot soon. I found a temple and ruined houses everywhere in the village. The houses are almost in the same condition as they were left behind by their inhabitants. As the sun sets across the sand dunes, the gates of Kuldhara are closed by the locals of the neighbouring villages. They believe ghosts will haunt the place after the sunset.

After reaching out to some villagers they shared with me the story behind the inhabited village. Some long years ago in Jaisalmer, people were abundantly rich and highly cultured. Salim Singh a new prime minister came up with new taxes and also he crossed limits when his lusty eyes fall on a beautiful 15 years old girl in kuldhara. He commanded the villagers to hand her over in 10days. But some of the villagers decided to move away from the village. After 2 or 3 days the village representative assembled in kuldhara and arranged a meeting to boycott the king and the village. All the people in and around the village left and moved to some other places. The girl's father cursed that this place will remain inhabited after they left.

GADISAR LAKE:
During day time, I took a ride on a jeep safari in Jaisalmer to reach out to the lake place. Gadisar lake stands beautiful in the dryness of Jaisalmer. A big golden gate stood at the entrance of gadisar lake. When I entered, I happen to see no one in the lake and surrounding areas except some elder people sitting in the corner areas. There are some boats which are parked in the gadisar lake. Those boats are for riding in the lake for tourists. There are handicrafts shops located near the lake.

There are temples near the lake. I sat on the long golden stairs and was looking at the peaceful lake and relaxes myself along with the beauty of the nature. I took a photo of the lake and the picture is covered in and around the lake. boating is allowed only after 9 am In morning. Sunrise is the best time to visit the lake.
