Day 1: Welcome to Jodhpur
We have planned that we will travel from Delhi to Jodhpur by train at night, but an exciting incident happen in the starting of the trip where we have missed our train. As we were already running on the short notice, so we had decided to compress our journey. Initially the plan was to stay 2 nights at luxury hotel and 1 night in Jaisalmer desert camp which was later squashed as one night each.
Day 2: Getting indulge in the Traditional extravagance of Jaisalmer
Lacking in the time, we had arrived in Jaisalmer by late afternoon. Pick up from Jaisalmer railway station and drop at our prior booked luxury hotel was already arranged by our travel agent. Once entered in the hotel, I was shocked by experiencing the traditional charm of Jaisalmer. The grand luxury hotel keeps the vibrancy of cultural Rajasthan still alive. After getting freshen up we were left for our Jaisalmer sightseeing which includes Jaisalmer Fort, Salim Singh ki Haveli, Nathmal ji ki Haveli, Patwon ki Haveli, Jain Temples, and Bada Bagh. In the evening, we enjoyed boat ride at Gadisar Lake. The day finally ends up here.
Day 3: Unveiling the charm of Golden Sand Dunes
Making a fresh start of this bright and sunny day, we reached to our Jaisalmer desert safari start up point by jeep. This was the start of our Jaisalmer safari experience. It was the days of winter and though the temperature was normal and easy to bear. After arriving at the point, we were initiated with our camel safari ride that gives us the unmatched experience of our life. Enjoying the ride for almost an hour, we took a lunch break over the shed of a tree and further continued the ride to reach the camping sight. On our arrival at the camping sight, we were greeted by the team of Real desert man camel safari in a very traditional way and offered us a welcome drink at the camp.
Later on we had assigned our camps to take a rest for some time. At the time of sunset, we captured the most wonderful view of nightfall over the dunes. Since after the sunset view, special arrangements were made for the guests to enjoy the cultural program which is comprised of folk dance and music performance of local tribes. The dinner was served and we return back to our camps. Camp in Jaisalmer gives us a chance to enjoy the experience of sleeping under the canopy of stars which was my favorite part of this entire tour. The day comes to an end.
Day 4: The finest closure to the Jaisalmer trip
Spending a great time at Jaisalmer, it was now a time to return back to our daily routine. We were dropped to Jaisalmer railway station to head back to home.
Jaisalmer was one of my most favorite destination that makes me feel alive again as I was willing to take a break from my busy life schedules.
