Jaisalmer Jewel of Thar Desert

Today I am going to share about my experience of traveling to Jaisalmer. I have reached to Jaisalmer from Delhi by train.  At the railway station, I inquired about the way to reach Jaisalmer. They referred to various facilities like private cab, tempo travellers, and even private bus arrangements facilities. I took a cab service with the demanded facility to Jaisalmer. After reaching Jaisalmer I was astonished by the beauty of the city. the city was shining in the rays of the sun. The Jaisalmer city is also called the golden city. The city got its name because the golden sand and sandstones were used in every architecture. I felt the medieval aura in the entire city and learned their way of living ancient by following the culture and traditions of the city.

For the first day of my trip, I planned to go to Jaisalmer fort. After waking up with the sunrise I rushed to visit Jaisalmer fort. The fort is located at the hilltop of the city centre. The Jaisalmer Fort has a massive entrance gate, there are around four in number. It is one of the main attractions of the city. The folk music artist was sitting in front of the entrance gate and played a piece of mesmerizing music and it brings the vibe of melodious melody. The Jaisalmer Fort has a rich history and it is also said to be a living fort in the world. I found people living inside the fort and I had a chance to interact with them and got to know their way of living inside the fort. The fort glitters with yellow colour sandstone in the sunshine.

Inside the fort, there are numerous shops, seven Jain temples, restaurants, houses, etc. The carvings in the fort and also in the temples were magnificent. Each and every work craft was meaningful and conceptual designs attracted on spot. This place never fails to surprise me with its majestic beauty.

After sunrise falls on the desert, the sand slowly changing its colour and becoming brighter and brighter and the sun reaching my skin and warming my whole body despite spending a whole night with a chill climate.
