Travelling is my passion and I have visited many tourist places in and around the world. This time I decided to visit tourist places in Rajasthan. I planned to take time off from my busy schedule, so I arranged a tour to Jaisalmer accordingly. There I decided to spend time for 3 days and 2 nights in Jaisalmer with pre booked Jaisalmer desert camp package. The camp offers different facilities according to the packages. I pre planned the trip before my travel begins. Here I would like to share my trip and experience after spending time in Jaisalmer.
DAY-1 (ARRIVAL IN JAISALMER)
My travel to Jaisalmer starts from Delhi. I have reached Delhi railway station on time despite the traffic and I took the train to Jaisalmer. After reaching Jaisalmer railway station, I took a cab with demanded air conditioning option and reached to the pre booked camp at Sam sand dunes of Jaisalmer. It was tired of travelling so I took a rest in camp. After resting in camp for few hours, I fresh up and had breakfast and left the camp for Jaisalmer sightseeing. I took a Jeep safari in Jaisalmer to visit the places and to reach on the spot soon.
The first day in Jaisalmer was well spent in watching Jaisalmer fort and Gadisar lake. After planning on first day schedule, it’s the time to reach Jaisalmer fort. It is the main attraction of the Jaisalmer city. The fort is located at the hilltop of the centre of the city. The Jaisalmer fort look massive and it gives golden glow due to yellow sandstones. It is the only living fort and it looks extremely unique and make it easy to imagine what life inside the fort must have been look all those centuries ago. I interacted with the people living inside the fort and get to know about their ancient way of living and their life inside the fort.
Next I headed to Gadisar lake through Jaisalmer jeep safari. the lake stands beautiful in the dryness of the desert. The Gadisar lake is located near the fort. There are some boats which is kept for the tourist to take a ride in the lake. The boating will be allowed only after 9 am in the morning. Travelling to lake during sunrise is one of the peaceful experience I have ever had. I purchased some handicraft shop near the lake and then I returned back to Sam sand dunes for night stay and dinner.
DAY-2 (JAISALMER DESERT SAFARI)
After waking up, I refreshed myself and had a healthy breakfast at the camp and leave for discovering desert area throughout camel safari Jaisalmer. The Sam sand dunes is located at the midst of Thar desert. It has pure sand with no plants along with many adventurous activities like camel safari, jeep safari, desert camp etc.
Camel safari in Jaisalmer is one of the best thing to experience in the sand dunes Jaisalmer. It is wonderful to sit at the back of the camel and enjoyed the views of sands for miles together. Jaisalmer jeep safari is also one of the adventurous experience in life. I had a thrilling ride to go on top of the dunes and roll down to the sands at a very high speed. It looked adventurous rather than worry during the ride because of the trained professionals sitting behind the wheel. I took nice photography with an amazing sunset.
Back to the camp after having an adventurous ride in Jaisalmer Sam sand dunes. After spending the whole day with more active moments, the camp relaxes me with a variety of options like an open-air restaurant and also lively food prepared by them in front of my eyes. They offered mouth-watery foods with different menus. They also entertain us by conducting musical and dance performances and also some cultural moments in desert camp Jaisalmer which ease my mind with peace and I slept under the starry sky upon the sand dunes of Jaisalmer. It is one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life.
DAY-3 (DEPARTURE FROM JAISALMER)
On the final day, I decided to spend it shopping. I went to the bazaar and bought varieties of collections like ornaments, religious statue, some clothes which has a mirror effect and Rajasthan style, carved wooden boxes, antiques, rugs, shawls, etc. each and every shopping items crafted with Rajasthan style. It looked precious in my eyes.
After shopping, I reached the camp. It is time for check out from the camp. Packed up my things and left for Jaisalmer railway station to reach back in time so that I will not miss the train. It was a wonderful memory to cherish and recorded in my memories forever. The trip with Jaisalmer is worth for lifetime.
